Sunderbans, the largest delta in Kolkata boasts of mangrove forests & snakes, crocodiles & Royal Bengal Tiger. How to reach?
Located at a distance of 101 km from Kolkata, is easily accessible through the boat to the Sajnekhali Island (entrance of the National Park). You will get entry tickets for the park from this Island.

Best time to visit:
The Sunder National Park should be visited between November – February. Warmer months like March- April are the best for tiger spotting.

Boat Safari & Tiger Spotting:
Cruising on a boat safari in Sunderban National Park, you can indulge in tiger spotting on islands, canals & waterways. In the open river, you will get to see the dolphins & other aquatic species.

Birdwatching & all about crocodiles at Sajnekhali Bird Sanctuary & Bhagabatpur Crocodile Project
You will be enthralled to see the species of the bird such as Billed Pelican, Open Billed Stork, Caspian Tern, Paradise Flycatcher at Sajnekhali Bird Sanctuary. A lot of saltwater crocodiles are present in the Bhagabatpur Crocodile Project.

Love turtles? At Kanak island, you will be thrilled to see Olive Ridley Turtles on the beach sands.



Netidhopani Watch Tower:
Observe rich flora & fauna of the national park from this clock tower. It gives a great view of the park and maybe you can spot some tigers too!

Gangasagar Mela:
Gangasagar Fair is famous in Sagar Island and it occurs during the month of January. You can be apart of the sacred atmosphere & know about the cultural heritage.
